Sunny Street - The Smart Mobile App for Travelers

Sunny Street SMS/Text Messaging Opt-In and Opt-Out Policy

1. Overview

Sunny Street ("we," "our," or "us") sends SMS/text messages to users who have explicitly consented to receive them. This policy explains how we collect consent, what messages we send, and how users can stop receiving messages at any time.


2. How We Collect Your Consent (Opt-In)

We only send SMS/text messages to users who have given us clear, explicit permission. Consent for text messaging is collected separately from our general Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.


2.1 In-App Sign-Up and Event Check-In

When you enter your phone number during sign-up or event check-in, you will see the following consent language displayed on-screen before you proceed:

"By entering your phone number and tapping Continue, you agree to receive text messages (SMS/MMS) from Sunny Street at the number provided. Messages may include account verification codes, event reminders, auction updates, and bidding notifications. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies (typically 1–10 messages per week). Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for assistance. This consent is not a condition of purchase or service."
 

This language appears prominently on the phone number entry screen, not buried in Terms of Service or a Privacy Policy.


2.2 Web Account Registration

During web registration, users see a clearly labeled, unchecked opt-in checkbox with the following language adjacent to it:

"☐ I agree to receive text messages (SMS/MMS) from Sunny Street, including account alerts, event updates, and auction notifications. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time."
 

Users must actively check this box to provide consent. It is never pre-checked.


2.3 What We Will Never Do

  • Send SMS messages to users who have not explicitly opted in
  • Bundle SMS consent inside a general Terms of Service acceptance
  • Pre-check any SMS consent checkbox on your behalf


3. Types of Messages We Send

Once you opt in, you may receive the following categories of SMS/text messages from Sunny Street:

  Message Type Description     Account Verification One-time passcodes (OTP) to verify your phone number   Event Reminders Notifications about upcoming events you are registered for   Auction & Bidding Updates Alerts when you are outbid, when an auction closes, or when you win   Payment Confirmations Receipts and payment status updates   Customer Support Responses to support requests you initiate    

Message frequency: Varies by your activity. Typically 1–10 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply.


4. How to Stop Receiving Messages (Opt-Out)

You may opt out at any time using any of the following methods:

  • Reply STOP to any text message from Sunny Street. You will receive one final confirmation: "You have been unsubscribed from Sunny Street text messages and will receive no further messages. Reply START to re-subscribe."
  • In-App Settings: Go to Account Settings → Notifications → toggle SMS/Text Messages off.
  • Email or Phone: Contact us at contact@sunnystreet.com or call +1 (801) 995-4499 to request removal.

Opt-out requests are processed immediately. Please allow up to 24 hours for all systems to reflect the change.

6. Carrier Disclaimers

  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • SMS delivery depends on your mobile carrier's network availability.


7. Data and Privacy

Phone numbers and related personal information are handled in accordance with our [Privacy Policy] and [Terms of Use]. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
